New Water Cannon Defense System

Scanjet Marine AB has just released its latest development in the fight against pirates on the high seas.

Scanjet Marine traditionally engineers water tank cleaning systems and spray-jets. Building on their base technology, the Swedish company has developed what they are calling a Marine Protection System.

The cannons, to be placed strategically around a ship, can provide 100% coverage , thereby protecting, crew, passengers and cargo by repelling any and all boarding attempts. Powered by an integrated turbine, the Marine Protection System can be operated remotely from any watchtower and is powered by the flow of water created by the vessel itself.

Can't wait to see a video of this system being let loose upon those pirates. Urghhh.

It would be better with either very hot or ice cold water. Give the pirates something else to think about.

Water cannons can be very effective against small boats. They can actually sink them. At this point, I would just as soon not let the pirates know weather or not ships have firearms onboard.

A water canon correctly used can be a far more potent weapon than guns. And, if applied correctly it can sink a boat and drown anyone on the boat.

One of the nice things is that the ammo is free and you can have settings ranging from annoy to kill.

Best Idea, so far, Neal. Let's go Cold, so we can't be accused of unethical behavior on the high seas.

How about very cold water and a PA system blasting out "singing" by Brittany Spears and Miley Cyrus. After a few songs, the pirates will be ready to surrender.

I might be compelled to jump overboard and swim for the pirate's ship if that is the final choice for the audio-based attack. Can we just stick to water cannon?

Apparently the US has used pop attacks to harass terrorists who have been holed up.
