TWo TANKERS TAKEN
Two chemical tankers were siezed within the past 484 hourss off the coast of Somaila. One is Norwegian, the otherGreekp. Both are still being held, along with their crews.

ONE ESCAPES
A Panamanian flagged ship was also attacked during the same period, but managed to escape the pirates. They used speed, maneuvering, and firehoses to fend off their attackers.

SAD YACHTING STORY
A yacht belongingto a British couple that had sailed from the Seychelles was boarded in the night by three men, who tied up the wife, and slit the throat fo the husband, bludgeoned him with hammers, and dumped his body overboard. The pirates fled, but were apprehended by Thai authorities, and the wife was taken to a hospital.



These are only the four latest attacks that I know about., although one source says there have been 'almost daily' attacks this month.
