    Theft on Cruise ships.....???

Does anyone know of any product currently out there that is good for bringing on a cruise ship to where I can lock my stuff on a cruise while I am swimming or running on the track?

On my last cruise, my family and I ran into some theft problems out on the pool deck. My Aunt had her iPod stolen right off of her beach chair

Probably the best idea is the buddy system. Always have a family member or friend that will watch your things while you are not able to.

Pacsafe makes a whole range of anti-theft, anti-slashable products that have lockable zippers, and can be attached or even locked to a fixture (like a deck chair).

They make everything from a lockable fanny pack:

Pacsafe Anti-Theft Bags & Travel Security Products

    to a snatchproof handbag

Pacsafe Anti-Theft Bags & Travel Security Products

to a larger, lockable "portable safe"

Pacsafe Anti-Theft Bags & Travel Security Products

Take a look at the website. You'll find *all sorts* of products that might fit your needs, depending on how large you want to go.

Thanks sayhello but I didnt like the pacsafe products as much as this other one I found....I went online looking for a product that would work good and I came across an item called the Vacation Vault, which seems perfect for cruise ships....Try googling it.....It is exactly what I have been looking for because I can lock it without a key to a fixed arm of a chair out on the deck....It also seems large enough to fit my iPod, wallet, and room key card at the same time...I ordered one today and I will let you know how it works when I get it

That does look very cool. I'll be interested to see what you think. Just be sure, if you put it in your checked suitcase, that it's unlocked, or the TSA might damage it trying to find out what's in it.

I'm the designated stuff watcher for my family. They go into the pool, and I sit on the deck chair with a book and a Pepsi.

I'm willing to pack a suitcase now if someone needs a designated deck chair sitter/stuff watcher.

I just received my Vacation Vault in the mail....I ordered it in Aqua.....the product seems very durable and works exactly as described....It's really great because it's easy to set the combination lock to any 3 digits which also means its keyless....I highly recommend this to any cruiser and I can't wait to use it on my next cruise!
