    Ryndam, Jan 06, 2008, 30 day Hawaii/South Pacific

Is anyone else going on this once in a lifetime cruise? It is an amazing cruise. We did this cruise two years ago and loved it.

    Yes, booked

Yes, we too are sailing on Jan. 5 to escape snowy Canadian weather.

We lack your cruise experience as this is our longest cruise to date and our first on HAL.

    French Polynesia or India

I'm really looking forward to this cruise and my husband is graciously pretending. We'd orginally planned a land tour of India and the more travel literature I read the less keen I was. A good offer came along from HAL and my husband offered to switch. Two previous trips were his choice destinations.

Would you believe that a 30 day cruise is costing less than 28 days in India? Mind you we are in steerage, but with a window.

We'd taken a Celebrity ship around S America last winter as part of a 6 week South American holiday and he was very disappointed with the activity options. Fearing that HAL won't have many more options he'll be boarding with a writing project and hoping to find a chess partner.

We're already finding books -- just paperbacks so we can leave them in the library.

With the new free style dining we're still hoping to find some interesting travel companions.

Ruth -- ready to escape the snow and ice.

    Youth on HAL

We're just seniors but were told that on HAL long trips we'd be with senior senior passengers. We were hoping for a mix of ages.

You're far more experienced cruisers than we. This will be our third cruise and our first on HAL -- one on Celebrity and one on NCL. Obviously we have no loyalty, yet.

It promises to be a relaxing trip. Plenty of time to read, and for my husband to write. He's hoping to find a chess partner too.

Very excited to do this cruise. The longest one yet for my husband and myself, this will be our 4th cruise with HA and we love everything about this line.

Looking forward to meeting other Canadian passengers like us.

    Cheers
