    Question E721: Disadvantages?

I love the covered balcony and proxmity to the aft elevator, but want to know if E721 often moves up and down because of its location. Also, can people in that cabin hear engine noise or the aft thrusters? People talk a lot about the fact that Club Fusions's stage is on the port side, but I am not worried about that. If you can't hear or feel anything from the ship itself, I am interested in booking that cabin.

    Hey Andrea!

We were in E731, the one farthest aft, on sister ship Crown Princess. We would book that cabin again in a heartbeat!

There is no noise from the club below. We didn't notice any appreciable movement and the balcony was great because it was covered and private.

Do you think the claims that ship movement can be felt in that cabin are exaggerated?

I am not worried about Club Fusoin noise. My biggest concern is the noises from the engines and thrusters. Some people reported feeling vibrations back there, so I thought E731 is not worth extra balcony space. Am I worrying about that too much?

How much movement you feel from the ship would depend on the seas. If it was rough you would feel movement, but it would be felt all over the ship. When you have a calm sea the ship slips gently thru the water.

The vibrations they are talking about are not constant. Thrusters are only used briefly when docking and leaving the dock. There are bow thrusters as well as the ones in the back.

Noises from the thrusters and/or engine have not been noticeable to me, but I am accustomed to the normal sounds and motion of ships sailing on a moving ocean. When you are on your balcony you will hear the sound of the ocean as the ship passes thru the swells and waves. That is perfectly normal and one of the joys of sailing.
