Char we are looking forward to seeing more of the Ruby as work progresses and hope that Princess will be more productive in pushing their new baby!! in a similar way that P and O have done with Ventura, if you go to the site below you can see the ship from the start to where it is upto today.

Does anyone know who the Captain will be for the Ruby Princess? It would be great if Commodore Guiseppe Romano was .Will be cruising on Ruby in January.

Sorry I doubt Comm. Romano will be the Captian since the Caribbean Princess is "His" ship.

I read somewhere a while ago (meaning a couple of years ago) that when a ship is first put into the Fleet the Line Names "The Captain" and when "The" Captain goes on vacation a newer Captain (or person with less seniority) takes over then hands over the ship back to "The" Captain when he returns. Now I could be wrong with this since it has been a few years since I read that.

One of our members was on the 2 day pre-inaugural sailing of the Ruby Princess.

I'm sure he'd be glad to try to answer any questions anyone has about this new cruise ship.
