Thread: Ruby Princess 4/09/10

A few days in the distance, but not so far to start generating a little comradery among fellow cruisers. Join in if you wish and share your experiences, suggestions and knowledge. This is our third cruise, but first to the Caribbean. Looking for some suggestions on what to do and what to avoid, and, meeting some great people such as yourselves.

Hi there......We are booked for the April 9th cruise
Am taking 3 day pre and 1 day post in Fort lauderdale at the Hyatt Place North.. Just trying to get a little sun before we sail. Really looking forward to this one.

Hey Butch,

I started this thread awhile back, nice to have some company. We too are at the Hyatt, 2 days pre cruise, thanks to Rich. Taking the redeye from Oregon so we wanted a couple of days to recoup before the cruise. Also staying 4 days post cruise as we have never been to Florida before and want some time to check it out. More later.

This is our first time on Ruby,but have been on 3 other princess ships.Also have been on a few carnival. Been to Florida,my wife has a brother who lives in Bonita Springs.
There are about a dozen people staying at the hyatt and going to the Outback the night before sailing. They are from our other roll call,(can`t Say here)So far we have about 100 people at the meet and greet.
We have anytime dining and are on the lido deck.

Nice tees, really get them for $14? My wife, Nancy , is really into palm trees so we may order some ourselves. Lots of others adding on that other thread. Great list of useful inexpensive fixes and containers. You certainly have a lock on emoticons and other graphics, where do you find all of them? Hopefully the next 20 weeks will go by fast.

Sorry for the intrusion, just got off the Ruby and she is wonderful! Also, there is a "local" restaurant not too far from the Renaissance Inn on 17th st called South Port Raw. It was terribly reasonable and on the water. Good fish, burgers etc. Just thought I would pass that on to you guys. We did spend one of our pre cruise days doing the water taxi. It was great and also cheap. Hope you guys have an awesome cruise.

Hello again John...I never put it together that we were on the same roll call on CC. Happens when you get old.
About the Tees,Yeh they are really cheeep.The first 2 I ord were the wrong date(my fault) so I am wearing them around the house now.If you go on that site they have scads of tees or you can design your own. Can`t beat the price.Of course you will then receive advertisements in your e-mail almost every other day.
Where do I get all that crap?Well every time I see something I like either on my e-mails or advertisment I save it for future use,comes in handy.
