How about parasailing?

I just got back for a quickie cruise on Monarch of the Seas. Had great weather. We were lucky the previous two cruises were unable to stop at CocoCay, and it rained on most of the days.

I haven't either, but Lynda says it's on her bucket list, so I suppose it's on mine too. We live in the same bucket afterall. We keep watching the parasailers while we're in Hawaii, and say we've gotta do that.

In the past, we've concentrated mostly on snorkel stuff in the Caribbean, but have only found a few places where it's really good. Some of the folks on the CC roll call have mentioned some good snorkelling on the islands we'll be going to, so we may try it again, but like I said, eventually we would like to actually see some of the islands.

We've been to St. Thomas so many times I'm not sure what to do. Did a daysail last time. Damned expensive.

So since Annieeee brought this up, which island would you say we should parasail on? Mike said ...Hell, why not? And I think it would be awesome.

If we do it, you guys will too? For sure?

Depends on cost and finding a certified company. Don't want to get up there and find your parachute doesn't work.

Ohhhh yes, I have parasailed a few times and I absolutely love it! It is a very gentle lift off. I kept expecting to feel a tug or a pull as you lift off, but your sail just fills up and you are gently whisked away. Most of the islands have it. Most of the time it is done n tandem. In Aruba, I was the only one going up, so I was able to go alone. My hubby went so he took pictures. I know I can't go in Dominica cause I want to do the River tubing again and if there is time, also do the Champagne Snorkle. The cost varies, from about $55 to $75. If I can do it, you can too, I am a big chicken!!

Ok, we just have to figure which island. Mike wants to do it too. Ever since we went ziplining, he has a "lets do stuff" attitude.
