It is so nice that you come to our forum. It isn't often that we get to hear from a loved one of a crew member. We often hear from the crewmembers on the ships and the loved ones at home are always on their minds. They love to talk about the ones that are at home waiting for them and how much they miss them.

On one of our cruises, our cabin steward was from Romania. My husband had visited there as a boy with his family to see the town where his father grew up. So he talked with the steward quire a bit about how things were still financially tough back in Romania.

I believe that is discouraged here. We do have private mail. If someone wants to send you a PM, then can do so by clicking on your name, and then clicking on "send a private message to..." You can also send a PM to anyone the same way.
If you look at the upper right hand part of your screen, you'll see something like this:

But with your info, of course. If you click on Private Messages, you can read any that have been sent to you.
