Okay, I read this a bit too fast. Think you for calling me on it, Char! So almost 1/2 of the cruise was over and they gave them a full refund. Not bad. I would not be surprised if some people stayed in Egypt or Athens for the remaining days and just came home on their normal transportation.

You're welcomed Reggie. No word on how the passengers are viewing the compensation package, I'd say they should be downright happy with the compensation.

All passengers are now off the ship and have either transferred to the Cairo airport or to the Cairo hotel along the River Nile for their overnight stay. This was posted 5 hours ago on Twitter.

Everyone is safe, but I don't know what the crew are doing while the ship is being inspected and repaired. I'm sure your boyfriend will be in touch with you if his work plans are changed.

Like the others have said, all reports are crew members are ok

Thank you, my boyfriend call me 3 hours ago .He is ok, maybe they will go for Athens tomorow, but it's not 100% sure, he don't know anything.Maybe he will stay till the end if july or he will came home over the week. But, I'm happy because I heard his voice.
