We just booked this cruise. Is anyone else going on this cruise?

Yea, a posting here, thanks Char.

It's a 12 day leaving from Athens, Santorini, Potmos, Kusadasi, at sea. Nazareth/Galilee, Jerusalem, Port Said/Cairo, Alexandria, Egypt, 2 sea days, Sorrento/Capri, ends in Rome. We are going out early to stay one night in Athens.

I am so excited, have always dreamed of going to the Holy Land, sure hope it's relatively safe then so we don't have to miss it.

I am going with Karen and her 2 sisters, the same gals I cruised the Baltic with. They think cause I was just in Athens I can show them around, Doubt that as I am sure I would be lost quickly.

It's over Thanksgiving, wonder if we will get a turkey dinner with the trimmings?

Sounds like an ambitious itinerary! Remember to take water with you on your shore excursions.

Fingers crossed that the Middle East will be peaceful for your cruise.

Don't think the traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be on the menu...but you never know!

I always take water but seems I have to reming those I am with to do so too.

I try not to think about all the troubles going on over there. I don't think I will live long enough for Israel to be peaceful. I have talked to many who have been there and it seems it has never been a good time, they just go and they have returned safely. I hope we do the same. I don't think Princess will stop there if it is really bad. Whatever happens we will just pray to be safe and leave it up to God. (I can still pray with my fingers crossed)

I won't miss the Turkey if they don't have it. I probably won't remember it's Thanksgiving as will be too busy!

Nice to chat with you here Char. But I wish there would be others on CLF that are doing this cruise. I have found others on CC but would prefer to chat here.

I hear ya Carol! When we grow up to be a big board like CC we will have the member base to support a lot of active roll calls. Until that happens just plug away here ... and tell your friends about CLF.

I told everyone at our CC meet at last years cruise about CLF, how much I preferred it and how much nicer the folks were here. But I haven't seen anyone here yet. Perhaps I didn't sell it hard enough.

Maybe I will reach more on the Royal, with only 700 pax I should be able to talk to some more than once.

    Hi Carol!

I'm willing to bet you'll have a Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner as a option!

We were on a Princess cruise once for Christmas and we had the option of Turkey w/dressing,etc. and well as Crown Rib of Beef. They also had plum pudding, fruit cake, and that sort of thing. They did a Special Christmas Menu. Feel certain you'll have the same sort of thing for Thanksgiving.
