Question Oasis & Allure: Where on the ship for lunch on PORT days?

Hoping some of you who have been on Oasis or Allure can help me out.

What's open for lunch on PORT days other than the Lido Buffet?

We have no problem doing a $peciality restaurant.

I found that this is very helpfull as it shows the cost, if any, and what meal(s) each venue is open for.

I would expect the promenade venues to be open all days for lunch as shown. (as the cafe in the promenade was open on other ships I have been on during port days.

I could click on giovannis table on a port day to double check .. its a pay restaurant with a $10 cover charge for lunch. Im close enough to my cruise, that all the restaurant choices are now open for me to book anything I want. Giovannis can be hard to reserve other times, so something like this would be a good choice. I am so so about Seafood shack, rather have rita's cantina like on Allure.

I for sure want to do Johnny Rockets for breakfast one morning, as its free then. I have the menu saved somewhere, but its basically breakfast fast foods. Check out the file and see what appeals to you. There will certainly be other places open with food on port days for lunch.

As cruiseplanner pointed out I am 30 days out from oasis, but I have been researching the ship quite a bit, so in spite of his comment, thought the above link was worth posting.

I know this isnt what you asked, but on Allure that has Rita's Cantina, there is one time where a one price for the fiesta is for sale. Since Im not on Allure I only quickly read thru it, but it might even include 3 margaritas in the all in one price. Sounds right up my alley since I love margaritas. (sorry to be off topic).

Quite helpful! Thanks so much! What I'm really hoping is that the places normally open for lunch will also be open on Port days. We're taking this Oasis cruise as a destination so may or may not get off the ship in ports.

We've always enjoyed Chops on other RCCL ships so will book there at least two nights for dinner.

Are you making any $peciality Restaurant dinner reservations in advance or just waiting until you get on the ship?

From what I can tell the only real difference between Oasis and Allure is that Oasis has Seafood Shack and Allure has Rita's.

I know that I get confused on RCL if its the MDR or the buffet open or closed on port days. But a lot of those were open on my other cruises. I did Liberty OTS last fall.

On Oasis/Allure they do the character breakfasts on the 3 port days each with different characters. I booked it for Wednesday because I figure that is midweek and I can catch my breath by then. Its a chocolate breakfast, but they have regular I think too. I have a link to that too. Its free to book, but you can only book it one time online.

Can you tell, I can't wait to see Oasis myself. Trying to contain myself. Im trying not to overplan. I need some down time too.

Here is another good link I ran across you might want to bookmark. This is the MDR menus on Oasis.

Most say try Giovanni's for lunch as its only $10 then, but I dont like italian food and dont think this looks good to me. too Italian.
