Unless any of you have any problems with this, I think I'll wait until next Saturday to start the new thread. I have some ideas that I want to include, and I want to see what happens after you know who gets back. We might be getting updated needs lists, and such too. Will that be OK with you?? I think it's safe to answer on here. Seem's like we are safe and there will be nobody pounding on our doors in the middle of the night.

Mike, I think that after the stress and hysteria of last week, a little hiatus is definitely in order. As long as we know that the children are in good hands, taking more time to get more info and to put together the best thread/program possible is a good thing.

So put up your feet, relax, and do whatever it takes to have a good weekend!

You know, with all of the talk about the school in Roatan, we often forget that it is turning into a great port for cruisers. the people are friendly(for the most part) and there are a lot of things to do there. Roatan is one of the best islands to snorkle or scuba dive because the barrier reef on the west end is so close to the beach you don't need to hire a boat. I don't have the nerve, but a lot of people rave about the canopy tour or ziplineing through the treetops. Personally, I feel that if God had wanted me in the treetops, he would have given me wings, or at least a prehensile tail.

Last month, after our visit to the orphanage, we had just enough time to stop at a beach, where we had a wonderful time.

Some ate, some snorkeled, and some just had an adult beverage and relaxed for a bit! It was a beautiful and quite uncrowded spot called Half Moon Beach. When it was time to go, some kind soul drug me out of the water so I wouldn't miss the boat. (Thanks, Mark, wherever you are...)
