    Fins and Flippers

We were in Roatan on Jan 29 and spent the short time we had in Roatan here. It was just beautiful. Small beach area with chairs and you could walk out on the dock and go in and swim out aways for some nice snorkeling. They also had a lovely pool area. There was a snack bar with some very reasonably priced food and drinks. Cost was just $20 per person. It is just a short boad ride over to this beautiful spot. Oh it was $25 without a reservation.

Susan, I assume this was not a cruise line tour. How would one make reservations in advance to being there? It sounds like a very nice day.

No it was not a cruise line tour. You can make reservations at their web site finsandflippers.com Nice thing was they brought us right back to the pier. We were only in Roatan from 3 till 8 and wanted to make the most of the time we were there. They knew that some of our group was concerned about walking back to the ship after dark. Eight of us booked together and we were the only ones there.

This looks really wonderful....I just booked 8 of us for April! I am willing to give it a try. The drink and food prices were quite reasonable too.
I will do a full report when I get back...

How was the snorkeling, Susan? Was the reef close enough to just swim out to it?

Looks like planes fly right over it (but maybe not too much traffic in Roatan).

This was indeed the wonderful spot it looks like in the picture ! We had an absolutely fabulous day here and if (when) I can I will go back to it! The manager was wonderful, the food terrific and the snorkeling was beyond belief!!

We loved it and the kids loved it! It was a hit with the food, drinks, and facilities!

They brought us back to the pier that the Legend was fastened to and we got up right there!
