    Roatan beaches?

In Roatan Honduras, has anyone heard of West Bay Beach?
    Has anyone used Shoretrips.com?

We spent about 4 hours at West bay it is now my DW.s favorite snorkeling spot. If you are going to roatan I would reccomend Victor Bodden Tours. http://www.boddentours.com/aboutus.htm any Questions?

We did Sandy Bay on our own (actually with another couple) after a stop to drop off supplies at the orphanage.

Our 'personal' guide took us to half moon beach (which was wonderful, uncrowded, and had some good snorkeling) after our visit to the orphanage, where we took supplies, met the kids, and got a tour of the facility. It was the absolute highlight of our trip.

(if you are going to Roatan, and wish to visit the CSI orphanage at Sandy Bay, "caring cruisers" can help you arrange for a driver who'll be yours for the day, and will take you to whatever beach you want after you visit CSI. AND we may even be able to provide you with a bag of much-needed supplies to take along.)

We're going to Roatan next April- Did anyone snorkle in your groups? I am wondering as one of the sites said that it was just a swim out to the reef right from the beach? Does anone know this to be true? Also, did anyone take the water taxi? It sounds interesting and fun to arrive and go that way.

Also, the orphanage- do you know when they will allow people to visit again?

    Thanks!
