I have a friend who was onboard, it all went very smoothly. The cruise line hired 6 harbour cruise boats each holding about 300 people.


That's good to hear, Stephen. If it happens again they will know what works.
I wonder what they would have done if the weather turned nasty?
I had not fully appreciated the situation. Good job on RCCL's part AND the harbor's part. Perhaps a few lessoned learned in case this situation comes up again.

Me either...though at the end of the article was this... "The Ports Corporation says it common practice overseas for passengers to disembark at offshore buoys." Hope the luggage was brought ashore first.
