Oh, and I think this was how it was set up? There was one place for salads, another for desserts, and the whole center was devoted to hot foods. I can see it being smaller, of course, since Rhapsody is a smaller ship, but that sounds fairly close to what we saw.

The entire ship was 10 times more elegant than my previous experience, so I was duly impressed. Expectations are a lot, eh? I really wasn't looking forward to my first cruise (command performance paid for by my dad - he wanted to get all of his kids together), so anything that wasn't the Poseidon Adventure earned points. And on this past cruise, the Rhapsody so far surpassed Carnival that I was completely bowled over.

    Hanna,
You were spoiled having experenced the Radiance first. The Rhapsody and Vision just can not compare to the excellent set up for the Windjammer on the Radiance Class. Part of the problem is that on the Rhapsody/Vision the Windjammer is in the bow rather that on the stern like the Radiance. They do not have a much space to work with.

John, yes I know I'm spoiled.

Erin, if I can explain this properly, here goes.
Two entrances. When going in either door the food line was right there at the start. You go down the food line and it swings around to the other door. Thats how it was when we were on it. The deserts were in the middle towards the back. Almost in front of the deserts were the drinks. Beyond that were the hot dogs/etc. So if it has changed, good.

When we went on a 14-Day through the Panama Canal on the Legend of the Seas, RCI did significant refurbishing during the cruise (we weren't told this would happen)...there were large rolls of carpet in the hallways for most of the 14-Day cruise.
