I am SO interested in cruising Radisson/Regent. I'm looking at the December 4 sailing of the Voyager. It sounds like such a beautiful ship, perfect size and the standard suites sound great. Texashorselady, (sorry I don't know your first name) what ships have you sailed on? What's your favorite thing/s about the line? I've read a lot about the Radisson on Luxury Cruise Talk...great fans over there.

Julie, what a wonderful review! Your pictures are amazing! Thanks for posting them. Wow, loved your cabin! I have the Regent (hard to say that) brochure and have been drooling over it. The standard cabin/suite looks very nice. I've read a lot about RSSC on another board. There is a great journal posted on it by a woman who did the 2005 World Cruise on the Voyager. Very interesting and fun. She also just did the two month South America cruise on the Mariner and posted journal-like entries. She's going on the 2007 WC also. Can you imagine!! Surely she won the lottery!!

Where do you live in Texas? My parents and sister live in Houston.

I would love to do a Med or Baltic Cruise with them. Or the Paul Gaugan in Tahiti. But I just wonder how formal it is and the age mix of passengers.

There's a thread in the Cruise News Section here on CLF with a link (the announcement) of the name change from Radisson Seven Seas Cruises to Regent Seven Seas Cruises:

I just got back from a few days at the ranch...so sorry for the delay. I can tell you LOTS about the Paul Gauguin! It's not an old person's cruise...and it's not that formal. Partly because it's Radisson and they just aren't as formal as some of the other luxury lines...and partly because you're in Tahiti and it's just more casual there. On formal night I wore a dressy long gown and DH wore a black suit...not a tux. But hanging around the ship I was wearing mostly shorts and hawaiian shirts...and even though the service is six star you can relax and just be yourself, nobody's doing the white glove routine.

More as soon as I unpack!

Hi Elizabeth! We're in Fort Worth...not all that far from Houston. OK, to be honest it's a LONG way from Houston, but it's Texas...

The lady that took the world cruise on the Voyager must have had a great time. I was looking at some of those and they are pricey, but they sure do sound wonderful!!
