I'm not sure how this will print...but I'll give it a try. Here is a 7 night Radisson Caribbean cruise, starting for around $2,200 a person. Who needs the fancy suites? All the rooms are ocean view, so the lowest catagory simply means a super fantastic room but just not on a higher deck. And remember, drinks are free at all meals...and they give you this HUGE full bar setup when you get to your room (4 big bottles of whatever liquor you choose) and they are forever handing you free drinks on deck and poolside....all you can drink...as well as when you re-board the ship there is usually some rum drink they are handing out...so you almost never have to buy alcohol on a Radisson ship. Soda, bottled water...also free. No nickle and diming. And no tipping!

Here is the cheapest grade, a catagory H cabin. It's 301 square feet with an ocean view...you still get a marble tub and all the goodies. Godiva chocolates, champagne on ice...etc etc....

Thanks Julie!! That is exactly what I was looking for!! Many years ago, it was my unatainable dream to sail Radisson. Now that we can, we choose to sail low prices so we can take family. It almost costs the same as the lowest prices on Radisson, but as long as we can take family we have!! You know everything there is to know on Radisson and I was looking for the "real" info, not just read it somewhere. I really appreciate it cause I think there are many like me that think about it, but the $$$ impression steers them away, without knowing what is included!! We may do it someday, but many will appreciate this information!!! Thanks again!!

You're very welcome. And you'll have to let me know when you said with them one day...who knows, we could be on the same ship!

PS - I am sure those prices for the Master Suites are enough to scare anybody away!

LOL I am sure, but I will let you know!! I have taken up to nine kids and grandkids at one time, not including airfare, and they are all up north!! So the price for total peace and quiet, it doesn't scare me!! On their website, some items are vague, and it is a lot of money regardless of income. So the real deal is awesome to read for anyone considering any of these cruises. When we start getting inquiries, we will send them right to you Julie!!

THL what are the penalties for solo cruisers? The average is around 60-70%. Reason why I ask is that I just completed a 20 night cruise/stay inc all flights, hotels, porterage and transfers for £5500 which is roughly $12500 (approx). I opted out of the auto-gratuities and didn't gamble or drink excessively either and only went on a few excursions. Just would like an idea of comparison with an oceanview cabin aboard ship and 4 night bed & breakfast at Sheratons to something of similar length/standard with Radisson.

Here is Radisson's policy for Singles. It sounds like 30-35% is not bad compared to the average you just mentioned...but of course if you booked that Master's Suite you'd be paying a BUNCH!

Q: What is your pricing policy for singles?

A: Standard single supplements are 100% for named suites, 75% for Penthouse suites and 30-35% for deluxe suites. Single supplements are capacity controlled and may be raised at any time. Exceptions may apply.

Regarding comparing your 20 day cruise with the hotel stay and airfare...there are so many variables that it would be nearly impossible to compare without lots (and lots and lots!) of details. If you go to their website at http://www.rssc.com/ you can check it out under Plan A Voyage and enter all your personal choices and see what you think. Their site is interactive and user friendly.
