Hi Elizabeth, no flowers yet...just lots of really big puddles everywhere.
JeffS, here are some reasons I really like Radisson:
1) Small ships neans personalized service and no waiting in line. Lots of ships have good service (not usually as good as Radisson) but what really makes them great is on these small luxury ships there is NO WAITING IN LINE for anything. Not for food, not for shows, not for tenders, not for excursions. You never get that 'cattle car' feeling...and this alone is worth the difference in price, in my opinion.
2) Six star food and service. What does six star service really mean and why is it better than five star? It means the crew practically reads your mind, anticipates your needs, remembers your preferences, and goes way over the top to make you happy. And they do it not just pleasantly but downright joyfully. You'll get spoiled fast. Six star food means gourmet all the way...not just filling your belly but creating a meal you'll remember years later.
3) No nickel and diming. Want more wine? They'll bring you all you can drink. And if you prefer that Italian Chianti from last night instead of tonight's Cabernet, just ask. They'll go in the back and bring you a bottle for your table. Want some bottled water or soda for your room or to take on your excursions? Take ten of them if you want! Also, no charge for snorkel equipment, rafts, kayaks, etc, etc...
4) NO CHAIR HOGS. There is plenty of room and not that many people. Stroll out to the pool whenever you like...there will be room for you.
5) Radisson's excursions are wonderful. They always get us into things quickly that other cruise line's groups have to wait in line for...such as getting into the Vatican or seeing the Statue of David. We just walked right in. And they always have a few really unusual excursion options for people that want to see or do the out of the ordinary...such as when we had a homecooked meal with a family in a small village in Turkey. Their excursions are usually small groups, too, making them even more enjoyable. In fact, there were only four of us in that minivan that went to the Turkish village.
