Thread: Reflection inagural cruise 3 days dec 5th 2012

Can't a nice three day before we board the caribbean princess can't wait for 2012

My DW (DallasDiva) and I will be on this cruise as well as the 7-day starting on the 8th for a B2B. This will be our first time on Celebrity. Looking forward to it.

I wonder the advisability of taking an inaugral cruise , surely the crew is so new something will go wrong as they learn on hte job ?

Well, on this ship there are several cruises in Europe before the transatlantic so the crew should be broken in at least a little. We did the 'Inaugural' on Freedom of the Seas in June of 2006 and they had done several 'pre-inaugural' trips with travel agents and such. We found that the shops on board were sold out of most of the 'inaugural' goodies. I don't think RCCL handled it very well.

Besides, on new ships like this they usually use transferred crew members from other ships rather than an entire new crew.

I am sure they use transferred crew in Key positions but I imagine more than 50% will be new hires ?

Not sure what percent will be new but with the cruises in europe then the transit followed by a TA cruise I'm thinking it should be fine. With all the specialty places to eat were not even going to make the dining room unless we do lunch or breakfast there might have to do that

The specialty places will have an extra charge you realise ?
