Carnival

Since its inauguration in 1972, Carnival Cruise Liners has developed a large fleet of 'Fun Ships', the emphasis being on a festive atmosphere. Exploring a wide range of destinations in the Americas, and now Europe, these cruises have become increasingly sophisticated in recent years, while retaining their Vegas-style glitz.
Specialising in the growing short-cruise market, these multi-award-winning cruise vessels put families and children to the fore, with a range of enticements on offer for toddlers to teenagers, while adults check out the bars and discos and the many casinos. Live entertainment is of an especially high standard.
Cruises may be aimed at all budgets, but great care is taken to ensure a good night's sleep, with specially-designed mattresses, robes in all cabins and even a pillow menu!
Uniquely, a refund and a free early flight home are offered in the unlikely event that you are not happy with your cruise.

P&O; Cruises

P&O; invented the concept of cruise travel more than 170 years ago but, although virtually synonymous with the golden age of oceangoing, have consistently modernised and innovated.
Because some cruisers prefer quiet relaxation and others like to 'let it all out', half of the P&O; fleet provides a traditional cruise experience, while the others are more contemporary and aimed at a younger crowd. But P & O also believe that many like to have the opportunity for both approaches and aim to reflect this with variety aboard all ships.
Two of the vessels are child-free, but the others more than make up for this by being among the most child-friendly on the oceans. The latest ship boasts a teenage rock-school and a giant Scalextric track, for example, and special areas are set aside for children of all ages.
