    RCI or RCCL ???

Please note that “Royal Caribbean Cruise Line” is not the name of nor a trademark of Royal Caribbean
    International.®

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line AS (Oslo, Norway) is an international representative for Royal Caribbean International Inc in The Nordic Countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark & Finland), Iceland and The Baltic States only.

Thanks for making that distinction, Lars!

Many folks still use RCCL instead of RCI. It's really not interchangeable.

For whatever this means to anyone ... on our Cruise Ticket Contract the CARRIER is listed as Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

This is why I use stock quotes when I talk about companies, so when I talk about Royal I say RCL.. Just the same when I talk about any company... My friends hate it cause they are so lost

But then again, if you type www . rci . com you come up with a timeshare company! So, even Royal Caribbean has a need to use RCCL for convenience.

Besides, the actual parent name is Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD, which is the corporation that owns Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Azamara Cruises.

In actuality, both RCI and RCCL are correct; one refers to the cruise line and the other refers to the corporation.

I like calling companies by the parent name, and thanks to this thread it will be RCCL from here on out...

I am lying actually I'll still type RCL

But that is good to understand the complete structure of the company... especially since I have been watch the company thinking about investing...
