The name change was in 1997. I remember it very well. I thought what an ugly name Royal Caribbean International wereand I much prefered RCCL.
That was the name that made them and also, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line was THE "Norwegian" cruise company.

I would not be surprised if more new rules come out the the stockholder OBC.
They have already made it not combinable with some discounts.
I would not be surprised it they raised the number of shares needed.

Raising the number of shares needed might fire back on RCCL more then they can afford at the moment. But, I would not be surpised if they do.
The only atraction with owning shares are if you TA gives you an OBC perk which (I belive) is combinable with the shareholder OBC.
