Hi new2cruise!! Welcome to CLF!!! Congratulations on your first cruise. I think you will be hooked. The Radiance is a beautiful ship!! A balcony is worth the cost if you plan to spend a lot of time on it, also if you feel too enclosed in a small room. I'm not sure about sharing a card, but RC enthusiasts will answer that for you!!! Before the hurricane, there was a shopping area right at the end of the dock. They are rebuilding like crazy to get the port open, and I am sure it is still there and just as good as it once was!!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

We love balcony's, coffee & breakfast in the early morning, sunset with a cocktail while getting ready for dinner, and a night cap are a few relaxing things we ejnoy, but if you are planning on being out and about most of the time you may want to spend the $ on other things.

Hi new2cruise. Welcome aboard. I have sailed the Radiance and just loved her.
We did buy a soda card for the two of us and shared it. The drinks aren't cheap, around $4-6 for an average drink. If it's a foofoo drink, its more.
As for the room, that would be a personal preference for most of us. With 4 in a room, if it's small, you might be fine, might not. We had a junior suite for the 2 of us and got hooked on it. We like the space! Whatever you choose, even if it turns out not to be to your liking, you will enjoy the cruise anyway.
    Cruising is so fabulous! Enjoy.

    Hi new2cruise

Welcome to CLF............yes in my opinion a balcony is worth the money.......if for no other reason, balcony cabins usually on RC provide additional storage space inside the cabin.........but once you have a balcony, you'll NEVER go back.

    Again welcome to CLF.......

    Hi

I would go for a balcony if you can afford it.

As for a soda card if you are not going to use it a lot share it. If one of you is to use it all the time then I wouldn't.

    A beer varies from $3.20 - $4.70 (with tip) Cocktails are from $4.75 - $6.00.

thanks everyone for your replies. I went ahead and booked ajoining inside rooms this way we get 2 bathrooms and 2 t.v.s and more overall space and it worked out that instead of 600 extra its only a little less than$300. extra and we have 2 rooms. we are use to staying at all inclusives so paying for drinks will take a little getting use to.

Since you are new to cruising I will mention that coffee, hot and iced tea are available in the Windjammer or near the starbord entrance 24/7.

I bring a large thermal mug, fill it up and take it around with me.
