Thread: Radiance OTS to Australia in 2011.

The Radiance of the seas will join the Rapsody of the seas for cruises in Australian waters as from October 2011.
The ports Minister in Sydney, Paul McLeay, said the ship(s) will be permanently based in Australia - which is something I have a hard time beliving.

The Radiance of the seas is supposed to dock in Sydney;
2011 on 18 Nov, 20 Nov, 3 Dec, then in 2012 15 Jan, 28 Jan, 11 Feb, 19 Feb, 23 March, 6 April.


Looks the US is loosing more of its RCI ships with bigger ships sailing overseas.

Oh! That is going to make some of the Radiance fans unhappy!

I am afraid so. The Radiance will then not sail the short cruises in the gulf BUT on the bright side imagine how perfect the repositioning cruise from the US to Australia would be

It is no doubt the perfect ship for long voyages. I was acually hoping Royal Caribbean would transfer the ship or any other Radiance class ship to do some of the short (4-9 days cruises) the Vision of the seas are doing in Northern Europe right now. I belive the Radiance of the seas did those a few years back??!!??
To me that would be pure heaven

Our loss is your gain! Do you have plans to sail on the Radiance of te Seas? She is my favorite ship and I'll be on her again in May.

I traveled on the Rhapsody when she first came here last year (2009) doing the cruise from Fremantle to Sydney via New Zealand as was very impressed with Royal Caribbean this was really you might say my first cruise having lasted cruised in 1976 on a ship called the Fairsky boy has cruising changed since then
Like I said we are limited to what we have here in Australia mainly PO and Princess Cruises and the Athena so the welcome of the Rhapsody was good news I have found the to be great value and are making the others try to compete
As to going on the Radinace I will be doing everything I can to be on this ship just waiting for itinerary so as to see where she will be going and pricing the timing is perfect for me
I will keep you posted as to what I will be doing

I do hope you get a chance to sail on the Radiance. I just got off last week and I had a wonderful cruise. She is a classy ship. I've also sailed on Rhapsody and like her also. But Radiance is a hands down winner in my book.

Now it also looks like the Celebrity Century will be heading to Australia in 2011.
The ship has already confirmed docking space in several Australian ports.

Australia is very lucky to have The Radiance... such a wonderful ship. Sure hope you enjoy her as much as I have.

We loved sailing on the Radiance, too,... we'll miss her!
