    Anytime Dining on the Radiance???

Have you tried it? Was it good/bad? How long did you have to wait?

I ask because I have heard rumblings that it isn't working out too well on the Radiance. From what I've been told, most aren't getting seated until after 8pm

Also, at what time do they begin the dining for this venue?

MTD (My Time Dining) is held on Deck 5 of Cascades and is to the right as you walk in. It is almost the complete upper right hand side that they set up for MTD. It opens at 6 when traditional first seating begins.

Though we did not do MTD when we did our 29 days on Radiance last April, we never heard of any problems as far as seating was concerned or folks having to wait. In fact, we heard many folks tell us that Radiance really had MTD figured out.

Most of our friends that did MTD had a specific time set and when they arrived their table was ready. They set this up the first night.

I'm sure that Sheila will tell you about their experience for the 29 days.....which, if I remember correctly was fantastic. I don't remember if Nancy and Ken did MTD for the April 26th cruise.

Our November 30th cruise will be our 12th sailing on her............any questions, please feel free to ask.

Hanna, we did on our South America cruise this past March. It was wonderful. The first night we liked our wait staff and time and requested it for the rest of the cruise (7:30). Our table was waiting for us each night with the same staff. There were a couple of times when we had other plans and requested to eat later. We had no problems with that and never had to wait. The service was excellent and because you're not waiting for other tables to finish, our food arrived faster and was hot. We will be doing MTD again on our spring cruise on the Jewel.

    Thanks Garry.
We did the MTD on Princess and really liked it. Pretty sure we will do it on The Radiance in Feb.

We did the MTD on the Radiance in October. Not my choice, our cruising companions requested this. We went to dinner the first night around 7:45pm, asked for a table for four, we were told 10 minute wait. The Moms had a seat and I went for a glass of wine, ok another glass of wine. I came back and they were ready to seat us, they walked us all the way to the back right hand corner, I wasn't too happy about that. Afraid of the noise, didn't like Mom walking that far... Our waiter and assistant waiter were WONDERFUL. We asked if we could have that table for the rest of the cruise (5 day Mexican Baja). Only one night we were not accomadated, they sat us nearby in a much smaller table, and our waiter checked in on us. That is my only experience with MTD. I will asking for a late seating with a large table in February. They did a good job, but we liked having the same waiter, so what is the point ? It gave us more interaction with the Maitre D, but I prefer just waltzing in with my glass of wine to my table.

Thanks so much for your input. We did the same thing on Princess last month and really enjoyed it. I'm getting tired of "having" to be somewhere at a certain time. But to each his own, yes?
Where are you cruising in Feb?

Smile Funny, Times are a Changing

Reading many posts and cruising boards, I think I am coming around to Anytime Dining. We are going to have Traditional Late Dining on the Century in 2 weeks, and if our tablemates are as good company as we are

I may be backto loving Traditional again

Looks like one could find a couple of great waiters and pick a time and turn the MTD into a sort of traditional dining, especially if they came with a group of friends, or a sort of dining that always allowed those great waiters while meeting new cruisers. If a lot of cruisers used this method, the wait staff might begin to become even more competitive.
