    Hi Dave

I wish I was on this voyage. I am on Queen Mary 2 on the 28th May though.

I was on Queen Victoria in November last year and loved it.

Anything you want to know just ask

Hi Stephen ... had a look at your videos and the pictures, did they have the Ascot ball and Victoriana ball on your cruise ? we were wondering what the dress code was for these ? i am sure there wil lbe a few other questions we will have before we leave.

how much did you pay for the Cunard travel to Southampton and back ?

We had hoped to be on the QM2 in June but Kerry wasn`t able to get the time off, that trip was to the North Cape.

    Hi Dave,

It was £82.00 return but then I had to get to and from Preston so it's not a cheap way to get to Southampton.

Yes they had an Ascot Ball and a Victoriana Ball. The main thing for the Ascot Ball is a hat. As the balls are usually on sea days, they usually have a hat making event in the afternoon. Likewise with the Victoriana Ball, some people were in old dresses and a few hats but that was about it. If you arrive at the balls in a dinner suit you will not look out of place.

Sorry you are missing out on the North Cape that would be wonderful, but the cruise you ae doing looks good

Would normal Dark coloured suits look out of place ? rather than a Dinner suit ?

We have been thinking about hiring something for the Victoriana ball but not sure if we should.

My other half is worried that we may feel out of place on the QV !

A dark suit will be fine My mum and I are not what you would call posh and we feel at home with Cunard. Everyone is very friendly on board.

Think of the great service you will get!

Some roll calls are just like that...and others have whole bunch of folks posting. The luck of the draw I supose. You still have a few months, so maybe there will be more activity soon.

I know you will have a wonderful time!
