Ok, since I am new here I will explain my excitement.
I just received a packet from Cunard with the QM2 information in it. To date, we have only cruised Carnival. (Reader's Digest Condensed Version~hubby started cruising Carnival 20+ years ago when he was a 20 something single. We stay with them because of the kids and karaoke.)
100 years ago, I used to sing in a band. Now that I am to old for that, one of the reasons I cruise is to be able to sing karaoke in a safe, (usually smokefree) environment. Sadly, we live in an area where the places that do karaoke are either not convenient or unsafe.
Since the economy mass lines (Carnival, RCCL, NCL) all offer basically the same thing, and we have always been pleased with Carnival, we have stuck with them.
However, for the past few years I have grown tired of the type of passengers that the economy mass lines are attracting. My sons are grown now and I looking for a line with less "families", less partying and less arguments about whether blue jeans are acceptable in the formal dining room. Carnival itself has not disappointed as much as the passengers they service.
However, I do not want to give up my karaoke.
So imagine my surprise (and delight) to read that the QM2 has karaoke in their English pub!!
My question to those who have sailed is .... how is it? Is it every night and does the QM2 have a piano bar as well. I have my own custom cdgs for karaoke, so a poor selection will not be a problem.
Thanks for the information.
