Thanks - looking forward to it - we have a few questions though?
1) What is the best time to get there to check in?
2) What is the clientelle like? We are a gay couple (28 & 32) and dont want to stick out like a sore thumb. On other forums i got the impression that the age range od cruisers are around 40?? I may be wrong on that though. We both are easy going and want to make the most of it

I don't have the answers for you, but Stephen, our Cunard Navigator, will certainly be around a little later today to help you out.![]()
Hi Johnboi and congratulations on your wedding and I am sure you will love QM2.
To answer your questions:
1) When you receive your ticket, (usually about 2 weeks before you sail) there will be a check-in time printed on the ticket. How are you planning to travel to Southampton?
2) The age on cruises tends to be 40+ but it's more of a mixed bag on a transatlantic crossing. QM2 is a very gay friendly ship, so you should not have any problems.
We are not sure yet - we were thinking of staying with his parents the night before (which is my birthday, its going to be an amazing birthday this year!) and they said they would drive. They live in London, so its better than us coming from York.
BUT his mum is disabled and i am unsure that she could manage driving that distance - if not we will have to get a train! Damn train!
I am so excited, i really cant wait - not long to go now . . . only 3 months! I do hope we get an upgrade as its our honeymoon - when we booked it we upgraded the room ourselves to one with a view - no balcony though as we saved on the hotel whilst we are in NY

johnboi, we do have a Gay & Lesbian forum, but most of our gay members prefer to join the general population and post wherever their interest is. You can check it out if you like..link --> Gay and Lesbian Cruising
The train service from Waterloo to Southampton Central is quite good and no shortage of trains.
If you have you Cunard booking reference you can check to find out if you have upgraded by going here: Already Booked - Cunard: The Most Famous Ocean Liners In The World
