    Mayan Mystic Experience (Progreso)

Here's a description of a very different sounding excursion that is currently offered by RCL at Progreso/Merida. Has anyone here done this? If so, how was it:

Mayan Mystic Experience & Progreso Overview

A Shaman will introduce you to the mystical world of the ancient Mayans at the X-Cambo ruins. Guests will witness three religious rituals by an authentic Mayan priest. Afterwards, go shopping or enjoy the beach in Progreso before returning back to the pier.

This tour is designed for guests wishing to visit an unspoiled and recently restored archeological site and who want to participate in an authentic Mayan religious ceremony to affirm the spiritual meaning of all the magnificent buildings. These sites were the religious centers of the ancient civilizations of the Mayan. You will be guided by a authentic Shaman, a Mayan priest, who will not only explain the history of this important site, X-Cambo, but will also perform during your visit, three different religious rituals. The rituals are a purification, a meditation and a baptism. After the visit, you will receive a participation certificate with your name in Mayan based in the Hasb and Tzolkin calendar.

Once you finish this unique experience, you will proceed with a guided tour through the coastal village of Progreso where a shopping stop for Mexican handicrafts will be made. If you prefer, you can simply relax at the beach instead. You may elect to stay in the town and return to the pier at your own expense or be taken back to the ship.

Sounds wonderful!! I can't wait to hear from someone that has experienced this!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
