Another thing on Princess that I have never seen on an RCCL.
Interesting lectures that weren't trying to sell you something.

I think LuLu summed it up nicely. While we thoroughly loved the experience on the Allure of the Seas, we much prefer a smaller ship. We also prefer Princess over RCCL when it comes to the food.

Now, if you don't mind an older crowd, you might also want to consider Celebrity. When it comes to food and service, they're very tough to beat. Depends on what you're looking for in a cruise.

So as you mentioned, just do your homework and find the best one for you. Fun part is trying them all.

But work with an agent, not the cruise line or an online site. They can provide you the best service at the same price, so utilize their expertise to help you with all the questions.

Cheers pete, would like to think we will try various other cruise lines, but dw is worried that after having a great time on Oasis earlier in the year,a differant line may not live up to her Oasis experience. We are both 50 and like the opportunity to do plenty of activities when it suits or do nothing when we just want to relax, and this is why we thought Oasis was right for us.An all age group cruise would suit us better than an older crowd. Thanks for the info, much appreciated

I hear what you're saying about the Oasis. We were on the Allure of the Seas in January and it is absolutely amazing! So many things to do, stuff to see, and places to eat! Definitely something everyone needs to do at least once, that's for sure.

Then we did the Celebrity Eclipse in May and the difference in the the two is the difference between night and day. The Eclipse afforded us an absolutely wonderful experience and quickly moved up to be tied for #1 on our all-time favorite list.

Then we did the NCL Pride of America in Hawaii in July and that was another type of experience altogether.

Next is our river cruise on the brand new Uniworld S.S. Antoinette in December doing the Rhine Holiday Markets, which I know will be completely different from anything else we've ever done.

So, while some people prefer one cruise line, I always encourage people to try as many cruise lines and ships as possible because they all offer something different. And after all, that's the most fun part about cruising; trying them all and enjoying the many experiences.
