Thread: The real excitement begins

I had a long, constructive discussion with my mom Sunday about booking the Sapphire's Wine Country Coastal cruise on May 11, 2013 from Los Angeles to Vancouver. She wanted to know a lot. Although I could not answer all of her questions, I did give her the phone numbers Pete put in his signature, show her the cost for 2 people in a mnisuite, and explain why we must have a minisuite. (Those reasons are a sofa sleeper and a covered balcony.) That was enough to finally get her to say, "We will book it tomorrow." I feel very relieved now because that means we can get E721, not a port side or Dolphin deck cabin, and of course very excited!

Great Andrea i'll bet your cruise report will be brimming with details, looking forward to that.
The only downside is 2013 is a long time to wait before reading it.

Actually Mom booked it because she wanted to use her Visa but I don't care. Booked is booked.

So very happy for you!

Now I can stop worrying about cabins and start planning five port calls, two hotel stays, and a sea day. Good thing I do not need to hurry up with those plans!

Now it is getting weird. Cruise Critic already has a roll call for my cruise, so I joined it. By reading the posts in that thread, I learned who beat me to E711 and met my next door neighbor in E719! If that is not crazy I don't know what to call it. My mom can't believe I already know who they are one day after booking.
