What is your favorite thing about Princess Cruise Line?
My sister said "food and service" after her Eastern Caribbean honeymoon on the Grand. Do you agree?
Princess has a 24 Hour Buffet which is important to me because I need to keep my blood suger level stable. It's always there and I can get something healthy in one convenient place whenever I need it.
Hate to admit it ... but the Elite perks are a factor ... especially on longer cruises.

When I first got started in this business many years ago, my mentor told me that I could never go wrong selling someone a Princess cruise. Now, after having personally sailed on many Princess cruises I can testify that statement to be true. I think the main reason is that there are no surprises - you get exactly what you expect to get and that is good food, good service, nice ships, nice amenities, nice itineraries - not much else one could ask for in a cruise.
But with that said, you'll still find people who don't like them for one reason or another. And as with all cruise lines, some ships are nicer than others.

I liked the food, that was more upscale .. perhaps just lucky? once we had a bowl of cashews on the salad bar. All the cashews I can eat .. mmm. Another cruise they had the all you can eat cold sea food buffet. I dont know if Princess still does this out of FL on 7 day cruises. I also love guacomole and chips which they had in the back of the buffet at night.
I cant compliment the service... in fact my 2nd Princess cruise I wrote to Princess over a issue. My cabin steward (who was new) insisted he needed extra time and went into my cabin the last morning when I had the do not disturb sign up. Instead of being apologetic, he justified it, because he was new and slow he needed the time. I finally had to tell him to stop making the beds and GET OUT. I was trying to clear out my safe and get off the ship. It was 7 am in the morning. I only did anytime dining so service was so so, nothing great. No one would want the cabin steward to see how much cash they were carrying.
Im not against princess, I just wasnt that impressed.

My favorite thing about Princess is probably their relaxed attitude regarding their beach towels! The service was also good, but it was not my favorite for food, cabin size or the closet configuration. The cabin was the smallest balcony cabin I've ever sailed in, it was so small with just a chair that it really didn't feel like there was a sitting area within the cabin. Having the closet as an open area was strange to me and it always felt like the cabin wasn't tidy.

Ah there is the other thing, the open close,t but not vissible from the main room. I like that , it is like a two room cabin.

The self-service laundry room is a must for us, especially as we're taking longer cruises (and before that, we were often pairing a week's cruise with a land trip). One member of our family is allergic to laundry detergents so we can't send her clothes to the ship's laundry.
I also like that every cabin has a mini-fridge. And that you can bring on sodas and waters (unlike Royal Caribbean and maybe other lines). I'm not a Coke fan so being able to bring my Mountain Dew and Sobe is nice.
We also like the 24-hr buffet. Just the idea of being able to have a mid-afternoon nosh is nice to hold us over til dinner (my hubby isn't a diabetic but feels the need to keep his blood sugar stable too). He loves the made-to-order omelets in the Horizon Court. But the major thing we discovered on the most recent cruise: we didn't care for anytime dining. As we had booked the cruise close to the sailing date, we couldn't get traditional dining. So I'm glad that traditional dining is still an option on Princess.
