I had always assumed Anytime Dining is a no-brainer: not all port calls end at the same time and I want to eat at Sabatini's and Crown Grill, so there is zero chance I will eat at the same table with the same people every night. But when I looked at the Sapphire's deck plan I saw something else that looked like a no-brainer: If I stay in E711, the closest AD cabin to an aft elevator, I would be sleeping directly over the International Dining Room. I could just get on an elevator going down and the dining room is right there when I get out two decks later.
Just one little problem with that: According to the Princess website that is the traditional DR I had always expected to not eat in. So I looked for a route to the anytime dining rooms on that deck (which will be merged next year). Apparently there is no hallway connecting them and the TDR, so if I forget to take a panoramic elevator down, I have to go back up to turn around. This makes me wonder if I should reconsider my preference for anytime dining on a Princess ship. On the other hand, should I reconsider selecting an AD cabin on Emerald deck for the purpose of sleeping midship?
