Thread: Pub Lunch: Do you like it?

What are your feelings on the Pub Lunch?

Do you have a menu favorite?

I do remember not disliking it it but I do not remember what was on the menu or what we ate.
That was 5 cruises ago but I guess it did not leave a lasting impression. so I guess it qualifies as OK..

One our past several we did not go when offered. We did check the menu on our Feb cruise this year:

Fish & Chips (which is Shrimp & Chips every other time)
Kidney Pie
Shepard's Pie
Bangers & Mash

Not a really good choice for any who need to watch carbs, etc for health reasons .....

I think I'll pass!!

Not that I'm a health nut but it doesn't sound like anything healthy or appetizing at all. We've been sailing for years & keep seeing the same menu posted & never had the desire to even try any of the items. Do people actually eat those things?
I did read something about the dessert which sounded pretty good & might give that a try.

Yes we enjoyed it . Traditionally we have fish and chips with mushy peas. However the mushy peas were just regular peas mashed up, on the Star Princess, that is not mushy peas. I will expect better on Cunard.
Also had a really good steak and kidney pie.

The Pub Lunch is the type of food you'd find in some Pubs in London

I had the Shepherd's Pie on the Ruby Princess and it was really good

I like it. Been to it twice on the Ruby. I ususaly it the Fish and Chips.

We were not thrilled with it. Won't go again.
