Arrow Info on Princess B2B Cruises HERE!

We've been on many B2B Cruises on the same Princess ships. Always EASY!

In US ports (which would include Puerto Rico):

You've given a time to meet (normally 9:30 AM). They walk you off the ship, through customs (where you only need to show your passport) , give you a new card, and then directly back on the ship. Normally, only takes about 20 minutes.

The 24-Hour Buffet, all pools, the gym, and several bars are OPEN. You can go back to your cabin whenever you wish.

Acapulco was even easier! The gave us everything we needed the day before. All we had to do was at some point the next day, have our pictures taken again. Absolutely, no waiting!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Of any cruise lines where we've taken B2B cruises ... Princess was the easiest!

We usually just get right back on the ship after checking in with customs but you don't have to get back on immediately. On our next b2b I 'm heading down to "Total Wine" for a few bottles & I suppose I'll have to wait with the crowd if I get back to the ship early & they're not boarding yet. I wonder if I explain I'm doing a b2b if I can skirt around the crowd? I just like going shopping early so I can use the pool while everyone else is running around.
The one thing they did say the last b2b is that you couldn't take any luggage with you during the customs check.

    Rich .... Good Question!

In US ports we've never returned to the ship before they were boarding so don't know for sure. They will give you an In Transit slip.

On those occasions (new pax boarding) we did not have to wait. We showed our In Transit slip and were taken directly back to the ship ... stopping by to click in our new Cruise Card and put my purse through the scanner.

I did a B2B on Diamond Princess. First part was from Beijing to Whittier , then Whittier to Alaska. All that happened was we were given new cruise cards. Didn't have to get off the ship.

Same was true for us when we did our Island Princess turn-around day in Acapulco. We were just given new cards ... no getting off the ship at all.

When you say Whittier, do you mean Whittier, CA outside of LA?

Maybe it's Whittier, Alaska, which apparently is the stop in Anchorage. Whittier, CA, doesn't have a port.

U.S. Customs and Immigration wants the ship cleared so it depends on where you are doing a turn-around what will happen.
I've done turn-arounds on Cunard in Southampton (England) and we don't have to exit the ship and if you return before boarding starts we are allowed back on.
I'm doing a B2B on the Grand Princess in FLL in January.

That is why I was surprised. Wittier Alaska is a tiny town and I did not think it would be an embarkation point.
