Thread: Mini suites vs suites?

    Thank you, sidari, for your post. I saw what the Princess website had listed for suites, and it was a little confusing. You cleared it up for me.

    If you are on a ship for more than a week, free laundry is a BIG plus.

    I didn't see any concierge area on the ship; do suites have access to someone on staff the way HAL does? Also, is there priority boarding and/or tendering?

    Question What about upgrades?

    If I book a minisuite and my travel agent offers an upgrade to a full suite, should I accept it for not? I don't want to be at the stern if the ship movement and docking noises are likely to be problematic, but bigger is better when three adults share a cabin and I like free laundry. I would never rent a full suite at full price but you never know if my family will get upgraded.

    Andrea, if they offer you an upgrade, ask which cabin they would move you to. Then you can weigh the pros and cons of the cabin you have vs. the one you could have. I would bet that any suite on offer would not be an aft cabin - they have many fans - or one that was directly midship. But strange things can and do happen.
