Unhappy "Door Signs" No Longer Allowed!

On a very recent Emerald Princess cruise I placed our "CLF Door Sign" on our cabin door.

That evening it had been taken down and placed in our cabin with a note: "Very sorry, Nothing is allowed on doors."

Checked and there were NONE on any doors ... at least on our deck. There were some "Happy Birthday" balloons attached to the info holder ... but that was it.

Is this the new policy for ALL Princess ships?

Sheesh. Big deal. What does it hurt? I'm writing them a scathing note first thing tomorrow.
And as for your question, if one does it..the rest will follow. Just like the surcharge in the casino for $$.

I've been looking everywhere for an answer. I can't find one. Let me check one other spot and I'll get back to ya (it may take a day or 2).

I wonder why: an inappropriate sign, someone put something of value on the door and someone took it, a sign was glued onto the door? Maybe it's just on the Emerald?

I remember on our holiday cruise, many doors were decorated with signs, wreaths, bows, kids' drawings. Seems sad and tacky if festive touches are now forbidden.

Hear You, Patty! Gosh, on every other Princess cruise there were ALWAYS lots of Door Signs/Decorations! That's why I'm wondering about this!

Hopefully, others who have been on a Princess cruise after January 2009 will tell us if this was also true on their ship!

In this economic climate, I find it hard to believe any cruise line would do anything to alienate passengers. Especially if there is no monetary benefit to them.

I was on the Coral Princess in February and there were things posted on doors. e.g. Valentine's decorations, somebody's retirement. Is it decoratons or was it because it was regarding CLF or any online group which Princess might consider to be advertising?

If true that is a real bummer. Lots of passengers do that
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

I say, "Keep putting them up!", until they tell us otherwise.

    Is that selfish of me?

Lulu, you're a sweetheart for taking the time to put up the door signs and trying to figure out the new rule s and regulations. thank you.
