On our Baltic last Sept we had lobster in the dining room one night. 2 tails and plenty for me but they did offer to bring you more if you wanted. Now if it were broiled shrimp, I think I would eat as much as they could bring me! Always preferred it over lobster. MY hubby, being from Maine, just can't understand that. The best shrimp I ever had was in Florida! Our friends said they bring the shrimp in right off the boat to the cooker! I loved it.
Oh, I would not pay extra to have that lobster dinner you guys are talking about. I am happy with the main dining room menu and I never go away hungry. Actually I think I fill up on the yummy dinner rolls and bread sticks they have. Funny cause I never eat bread or rolls with meals at home.
Carol - I am the same way. Rarely eat bread at home, either.
But at dinner on RCL, they have these wonderful little hard breads called 'Savory Bites,' and I just can't get enough of them!
If you eat lunch in the main dining room, they have soft bread, with a great spread. don't remember exactly what it is, but it's real good!
A bit bigger and they speak with this funny accent.
An heirloom tomato is a tomato from old genetic stock before the tomato growers decided that flavor was not as important as long shelf life, visual appearance, and good transportability. Heirloom fruits and vegetables generally look a bit funny and don't keep very well but the flavor and aroma make your mouth water and your taste buds scream out in pleasure.

I don't recall ever eating a whole lobster----only the tails. I guess I have been deprived! Tell me what I have missed, besides needing to wear a bib!
The claws are the big difference. The meat from the claws is extremely tender and tasty, where the tail meat can be a bit tough at times. There's other differences in regards to the main body of the beast, but it's not for the squeamish.
