Yes, check out Cafe Caribe's dinner schedule for when they have the crab, shrimp, and rock lobster. They do this two nights, and its to die for, even if your just going for a snack Also if you love laying in the warm Caribbean air under the stars and watching a movie on a big screen, don't miss the "Movie Under the Stars", its free but book early!!! They also bring you popcorn & candy that part of it

If you haven't already done it, go to the Princess personalizer and enter the fact you're celebrating your birthday. We did this a year ago for our anniversary and got balloons on the door as well as a special cake one night after dinner.

    Other tips....Enjoy, enjoy and enjoy!

    Hi everyone,

We have sailed Star, Sapphire, and Dawn. Also, looking forward to Star again in just about ONE year.....

I know it's almost sac-religious to speak (write) poor reviews of the lobster but honestly, and especially, for someone from the east, the tails are really hit and miss. Even if you get a hit, it's only going to be a double not a home run.

marnaz.....you asked about the condition of ships and such. I don't see which you are on but when I sailed Dawn last year she was nine years old. If I hadn't known I would have guessed just a couple. Yes, there are always the difficult spots, someone once complained that the brass elevator buttons were worn (gimme a break!). Princess does a GREAT job of maintaining their ships.

Oh, back to the lobster tails. If you sail a ship that has Sabatini's the alternative restaurant the lobster tails are pretty good, well, the two times I have had them were good.

The only draw I can think of with a higher room? You are closer to the food and pools. Even if you are in a balcony, if on a Grand Class ship, the higher you go, the smaller the balcony.

Thanks for the info, I will trust your east coast taste buds and suggest to Hubby to try the specialty dining for the lobster! We will be on the golden-tomorrow!

The November 2, 2007 Sapphire Princess cruise from Beijing to Bangkok is our first cruise - EVER... We are excited but still have questions. Cruising does seem like a foreign world to us and we are still learning the language.

I have been trying to learn what is happening on the same cruise that is taking place now. I have not found any postings from anyone on board. I have checked out the ship bridge cam and found that interesting.

To you many "old time" cruisers, we appreciate all you assistance in answering our questions. Your knowledge is important to us newbies....

    HI Peggy,

Can't help with your cruise itinerary, but will say the Sapphire is a marvelous ship.
I sailed her from LA to Vancouver last year and had a wonderful cruise.

Peggy, sorry but I haven't had the pleasure of sailing on that ship or that Itinerary. Hoping someone has and will post soon! Welcome to CLF!!!
