When in Jan are you going and on what ship?? We are going on the Sun leaving FLL 1/9

We're going Jan. 20 on the Star Princess and can't wait to go! We'll be just after your sailing. Do you stop at the cays too? I've never sailed Princess but we got a terrific deal and went for it!

Jose, we will be stopping there on our last day at sea. You will love Princess, it is my favorite of the 3 lines I have been on, (not that the other 2 were bad). I just like the whole, total experience with Princess,
As TA said, water shoes would be a good idea for the Cays. I don't have any....perhaps I should get some, as I am a tenderfoot,

TAKE WATER SHOES! The beach is beautiful BUT having water shoes will allow you to enjoy it MUCH more!
Where can I buy water shoes this time of year? I live in South Carolina too and we're leaving next week for the Carribean Sampler on Princess Ruby. With the holidays, there's so much to do before we leave!

Now, if you can't find some in your size... I have been to Princess Cays twice. (Oct both times) and the water was wonderful. I took NO water shoes either time. But then, I am not a 'wader' but a swimmer. They just get in the way if you actually want to SWIM. My feet hardly ever touch the bottom, except for when I am getting in or out of the water. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Good to have you as a member.

If you live near the coast, it's easy to find them year 'round. In Columbia I saw a cute pair at Stein Mart (in the sale area) but I didn't need any.

I'd try looking at the Sales Rack at places like TJ Max. Dive shops/sporting stores will have them ... but they'll be more expensive.

Most of the time, you can buy them on the ship. If Princess Cays isn't your first stop, you'll easily be able to buy them at another port stop.

I wouldn't worry about it! The beach close to the Banana Bar seemed much less rocky than some others there.

Have a great time on your cruise!
    LuLu ...

Thanks. Turns out we didn't need the water shoes. The waves were so high, the captain decided it was too risky to make port at the Cays. Too dangerous to use the tenders! So we truly had a cruise to nowhere. Hopefully next time we'll stop there.
