Thread: I am going to sing the praises of Biaria

And hopefully, this is the correct forum to do so.

A few months while looking for information on tours in Funchal, I ran across Eusebia' Freitas who posts in CLF as biaria. Eusebia and her husband Daniel own a company in Funchal called Daniel Madeira Taxis. ( Daniel Madeira Taxis: Taxi services in Madeira ) They provide not only taxi services, but also tours of this beautiful island.

I contacted Eusabia'. Originally we requested a tour for 6 or 8 people, but this kept increasing until the total was about 18. She told me she could arrange for a 23 passenger van for a 4.5 hour tour and she gave some options of what to see. We selected to see Pico dos Barcelos, Curral das Freiras, Câmara de Lobos (wine tasting), Cabo Girão and Monte (Cable Car or Toboggan Rides).The cost was 20 Euro p/p

Now came the sweating. Would she provide the services? Would they be as she stated? Indeed would someone even show up to meet us? Needless to say that even though I emailed Eusabia' extensively and felt comfortable, I still worried.

All for naught. The tour went EXACTLY as advertised. The only disappointment I experienced was that, due to prior commitments Eusabia' would be providing tour services to others and I would not have the opportunity to meet this gracious lady or her husband Daniel.

Would I recommend Daniel Madeira Taxis for touring Madeira. ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!
