Thread: Anybody coming to Funchal/Madeira Portugal?

Yes, it was quite a surprise when I saw this new forum and I had to start this thread.

We made some slight changes to our website yesterday.

We took away the weather forecast, because, even though it worked well before, ever since the website went online it stopped updating. As Rúben said, it had something to do with what our hosting company does and doesn't allow.

Oh, by the way, let me let you know, or remind you, that Rúben is my younger son, he's 19, he's taking a degree in Computer Engeneering and he is our webmaster.

Now, getting back to the weather forecast: I'd like to have it back on the website, but Rúben has to do it in a more "legal" way.

And I chose to take away the link to the petition against the Rabaçal Cable Car. I signed it also myself, but I think we had it long enough already. However, I may still feel like having it back on the website, for some time, in the future. Remember those links about what to see and do in Lisbon which you gave me at my roll call for my cruise??? They would go nicely in the Portugal forums too

I have been to Madeira, its a lovely island, but I really would like to go back one day.
I would like to take an Atlantic Islands cruise soon but my better half (in this case my worst half) doesnt find it interesting

Yes, I think it was a good idea to start a separate forum for Portugal, thank you.

I'll try to post regularly. First up, I'll take Lars advice and post here some ideas and links I gave him a while back, regarding a visit to Lisbon.

Any posts about Portugal, and specially about Madeira, that may happen to be placed in the wrong forum, please bring them here.

I must add that, even though I visited Lisbon and some of Portugal mainland already, I'm no expert in those areas. I can only give complete and reliable information about Madeira.

Also if, like some weeks ago, you need a Portuguese speaker, here I am to give all the necessary help.
