Canaveral Breaks Ground on Facility to House New Police Force



PORT CANAVERAL, FL— April 21, 2010 – Construction has begun on the new $1.5 million Inter-agency Maritime Operations Center (IMOC) at Port Canaveral, a facility to house the first seaport police department in the state. It is being built on a 3.3-acre site on the Port’s north side and will consist of offices, training room, and closed circuit television. Kinely Corporation of Rockledge, Florida is the contractor. The project is expected to be completed by November.
