    Security breach at Port Canaveral

Our local news is reporting a security breach at port Canaveral.
Apparently, a truck got in without being cleared. (This involves trucks that bring stuff to load on ships.)
All the other trucks are now having to be re-cleared for security because of this.
That's all the details they are reporting at this time...

I don't believe that it would have affected the Sovereign's departure, which was scheduled for two hours ago.

Yep. It's certainly something to think about.
Seems we've had a lot to think about lately.
I'll let you know if I hear follow-on news.

    Update:

Problem solved, per the Coast Guard.

It was not in the Cruise Terminal area, but rather the 'freight' area. They are no longer describing it as a 'breach,' which may have been the media sensationalizing the situation, as they are wont to do.

There was a five hour delay in letting some of the trucks into the cargo area today, and security procecures at that entry gate have been revised.

Sounds like that is all the details we are gonna get.
It was probably a lot more routine of an issue that it seemed at first, so the media lost interest.

That's good to hear! Especially since we will be cruising out of Port Canaveral in less than three weeks!!! Did I mention that we are cruising in less than three weeks?
