I'm finalizing my plans to book a cruise on the Carnival Glory out of Port Canaveral sailing on August 9th. Everything is pretty much set with Carnival, I got a good deal using my military discount. I have heard that it is cheaper to rent a car than it is to use the shuttle or car services from MCO to Cape Canaveral. I have been researching both options, and the rental car seems the way to go. I found a deal with Dollar Rent A Car on their website for one way for $46.00, including taxes and drop fees. I called Dollars Office in Cape Canavarel/Cocoa Beach and they told me that they have a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up at the cruise terminals. Has any used Dollar and used their shuttles to get back and forth from their office and the port.
