Cold, cold, COLD!

Good thing there are no ships in port today -
They would not be welcomed by typical Florida weather!

We had a VERY cold night last night, including a freeze warning!!!

It didn't go below freezing here on the island. . .
but still WAY cold this morning, at 41, with a wind chill, feels like 37!

Feb 1: Wonder, Sensation

It should warm up into the 70's by the time the Wonder and Sensation are in port on Thursday.
The low that day will be in the mid 60's, with a high perhaps as warm as 78.
Sounds a LOT better than today's temps!

Ths skies will be partly cloudy.

Tornaoes and Severe Storms

Storms overnight. . . continuing this morning across Central Florida..

Damage reports still coming in ... currently there are reports of heavy damage, road closures, and, unfortnately, fatalities.

People are being asked to stay off the roads if they don't have to go out.

Portions of I-4 are closed near Daytona.

Lake, Sumter, and Volusia County residents are apparently waking up to widespread damage. If you are coming to the port from the north, you will need dto go through Volusia county.

Need Extra Driving Time Today

If you are driving to ANY of the Florida ports today, please allow yourself a couple of hours of extra drive time to be on the safe side...

Sever storms an tornados caused extensive damage throughout several Central Florida Counties overnight, and there are road closures, intersection closures, power outages (no traffic lights), debris in roadways, accidents, and major foad congestion around this part of the state.

This line of storms, which stretches all the way across the state (SW to NE) sand is moving south. This will continue at least throughout the morning, and perhaps into early afternoon.

Chillier than normal for the

It's a bit chillier than normal here today, cruise fans, but not unbearabaly cold, thank goodness.

Right now, it's in the low 50's and the highs will only reach the low 60's - if that!

Tonight, I'll post the forecast for the next few days...

Thurs, Feb 8: Woinder, Sensation, Elation

Thursday will see three ships in port for their turn-around... disembarking in the morning, and taking on a new group by midday.

It won't be equite so cold for either group as it is here right now.

Thge High that day will be in the low 70's, with a 30 % chance of showers, and a little lwind, but not too much.
