good morning!
Looks like it will be a bit chilly - but not cold - for this weekend's cruisers out of Port Canaveral. That is by Florida standards, of course.
High today - 71 - that's all!
Cruisers arriving for tomorrow's sailings of the Sensation and athe Wonder may have to deal with some evening showers, and the overnight low will be down to 62. Watch for winds from the north, too, making it feel even chilllier!
By tomorrow morning, it will have warmed up slightly, to around 73-74, and (lucky you!) winds will have died down and the chance of showers will have dminshed!
No 70's for you ... the high is predicted to only reach 69!
There will be some wind during the day, less in the evening.
According to CruiseCal, the Disney cruisers wil not depart the port until almost 7:00 pm, so you'll get to watch the sun set over Merritt Island. The Carnival ships leave earlier and will be seeing their sunset at sea.
Don those long pants and long sleeves (maybe a jacket, too!) if you are a disembarking or embarking Sovereign of the Seas passenger today!
It's in the LOW 40's right now - you can see your breath in the air!!! Light winde from the NW make it feel like about 37!!!
By boarding and sailig time, it will have warmed up a little, but, take heart - you are heading for Nassau and CocoCay, where it will be in the mid to high 70's - and maybe even touching 80 briefly!
A little nicer ... Saturday, we'll wake up to the mid 60's here, and those sailing will have temps in the mid 70's . . . slipping out of port before the evening showers set in. A seabreeze (E to SE, @ 5-10mph) will add to the sea 'feel' for the day.
RCL, Carnival, and Disney cruisers on Sunday have a good chance of seeing 80 or 81 degrees at some point in the afternoon... but also a bit (30%) of a chance of getting wet in those scattered showers that will be blown in on west winds.
