The latest news from México puts Hurricane Dean on track to have the eye of the store enter at Punta Allen, However, as it is still too early to be sure, I will continue to send updates every 12 Hours.


State authorities are prepared to handle this event, ..still they are asking that any and all tourists who can leave for home do so for there obvious security.

The Riviera Maya Hotel Association is presently in the process of having all member Hotels inform and direct the guests have on site

Most local homes and stores in the area are in the process of boarding up

Has Dean caused any major drop in tourism this fall?

I think, for some ports, there is actually a resulting increase in ship visits, as substitutions for Costa Maya are necessary.
